The new CompactFlash adapter from Photofast can hold four 16GB microSD cards running in RAID. This makes the slower microSD format as fast as CompactFlash by striping data across all four microSD cards at once.

For those that don't need 64GB of storage, the CR-7100 will hold one 16GB microSD, while the
CR-7000 holds one 32GB SD. The 7200 will be available for $30 and the 7100 and 7000 for $25, all in July.

Its interesting but not worth it.

According to the website of the manufacturer.  They only provide 1-3month warranty depending on the model.  Second, 16gb microSD cards range from 40-80 dollars a pop.

What's the point when you could just get a huge CF card for cheaper?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

This.

Interesting, but why bother?

As reported, the point seems to be speed. I don't do much digital photography so I have no experience with CF/microSD cards but is there any truth to mSD being faster then CF? If so, someone who takes very large resolution pictures very rapidly could use a faster storage medium?

Micro SD is very, very slow compared to CF cards.

But can you get a 64GB CF card for the same cost as 4x16 GB mSDs?

Oh, I misread. I concur, what's the point? The only use would be to make use of old mSD cards people may have lying around; as long as no purchase of mSD cards is necessary, this could be used. Besides that, limited use if any at all.
