Sounds like you have issues with your setup. plugins?
I also get this problem when viewing youtube videos on ff. It just freezes for a split second then resumes to normal playing speed.

Almost all browsers have memory leaks at some point, Firefox being particularly notorious for just that. All you can do is swap around and see which browser is the best for you, but you'll likely encounter the same issues to varying degrees with any of the popular browsers.

Google Chrome.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Which is why I love Firefox. My Firefox has more functionality than any other browser.trippy982 wrote:

Chrome sucks, firefox is bad and overrated, IE speaks for itself, Safari performs dreadfully with > 5 tabs open
Opera.
ps: Most of the "omg really awsm!1" functionality is available in Opera out of the box.

Chrome seems faster than firefox and more stable. But Firefox has the plugins and the addons etc.. that the rest don't seem to have.

Mouse 5: Forwards
Middle Mouse: Open in new tab
Who the fuck needs gestures.
have fun opening new tabs in the background, opening a speed dial-esque page (which firefox doesn't have out of the box, either), closing tabs, etc, with your multi-button mouseFinray wrote:

While I will be sitting here fapping with one hand, and using mouse gestures to control my pornography with the other hand
tl;dr mouse gestures are pro
Opera starts with mouse gestures.CrazeD wrote:

If you have even the slightest bit of technical merit, browser selection is a trivial thing.
Middle mouse button - Open new tab in backgroundI_LIEK_TURTLES_LOL wrote:

Left Mouse Button - Open new tab in foreground
Bookmarks > speed dial
Clicking the X to close the tab is easier than moving the mouse in a generally undetected vague way
Anything else? Oh right you're banned again. Shame.
I agree, Chrome has all the mouse gestures needed.Finray wrote:

Middle mouse button also closes a tab and opens a link in a new tab in the background (Hold shift when clicking to bring it to the front).
I was talking about Firefox tbhFFLink13 wrote:

Mouse Gestures aren't using buttons. It's pressing a button then moving it in a certain way, for example, left click, then moving down and right goes one page forward if I remember correctly. Quite cool to use, but pretty un-necessary.
Oh, lol @ me XD
Well, Chrome has all those things you use, anyway
