did anyone have george foreman for 2025? some lost sports history there.
but: i have some perhaps uncharitable opinions, because foreman had uncharitable opinions, and because i'm going to be hearing about this from mopey boomers soon enough
anyway. i may as well get it out of my system here, anonymously.
political comments about the "sore losers," in 2017? did not age well on jan 6. "kaepernick etc is not patriotic; did not have patriotic upbringings," -paraphrase. all this, coming from the guy who lamented political commentary from athletes? shut up.
some rich guy with zero military service chiding people for using freedoms afforded to them because of "sacrifices made so people can have those freedoms."
again (because conservatives make that argument so wearyingly often),
how is it a disrespect to dead american soldiers for an american to exercise the very freedoms that conservatives argue dead american soldiers died for americans to have? this makes zero sense. if i were a dead soldier who blew up on d-day or whatever, i would instead be insulted if americans slept through our freedoms.
i feel bad for his family but i can't lament the lost potential for foreman appearances on podcasts. or the day-after wanks from conservative acquaintances when they start lavishing the guy with praise out of nowhere and leave me fishing for context on why the heck it came up. me, later:
"oh, it's because he said something vaguely republican."
