I think the components are fine but the button/switch to turn on the computer is damaged or broken as i can see that the mobo shows the green light in it.
I wasn't using it at the time but my brother said that he turned it off fine but when i try to turn it on, it didn't work.
if the switch is broken, it's hard to repair it? is it worth the trouble fixing? or should i let someone else check it for me?

any help would be appreciated.

To see if it's your switch the problem, I would use something metallic and put it against the "pwr sw" on your mobo to see if it turns on.
