I have to say that it is amusing that so many people are crying foul about these stat resets. If you have to cheat do it on an unranked server. Cheaters and padders ruin the game for those of us who don't do it. I for one am very happy to see that accounts are getting wiped. I hope that those that get caught using hacks (aimbots, hud hacks, etc.) get their cd keys banned as well.

If everyoned played as a team then no one would care about the other problems of the game because they would be too busy owning everyone. I love teamwork in BF2... too bad its extremely rare

It's looking like people with wiped stats retain their badges, medals and ribbons? Ironically, they'd have a better chance at hitting the general ranks if they already have a bunch of gold badges.
