24" Monitor

I'm looking for a 24" 1900 x 1200 monitor with a budget of around £200. I have a 4890 GPU and the monitor will primarily be used for gaming on PC.

I've been looking at reviews and searching around the internet and think I have found the best one for my budget, give advice if you think there could be a better one.

Other option could include -

Samsung T240, Samsung SM2433BW, Samsung SM2343BW, BenQ V2400W, Samsung SM2443NW, BenQ G2400WT, LG W2452TX-PF and there is a Samsung T240HD on pixmania for £240, but i dont know ifi trust them. Have i chosen the best out of the lot for gaming and overall image.

Whatever you do, don't get a Benq. I don't know how many of those I've had to repair in the last six months. They have a tendency to die within two or so years.

Get the Samsung from Pixmania, it's a good company. I bought my Cowon D2 from their finnish division.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I also got my cowon d2+ from them. People just got me scared that i wont be able to return if i get dead pixels. Its actually £226, the T240HD will make a good monitor right? I heard that it sometimes has blur.

Pixmania has great deals and shipping, but their warranty service TOTALLY BLOWS. Be warned.

As long as you don't have to RMA anything, they are great.

2443BW here with no complaints. It's a TN panel so you'll have problems if you move your head around a lot but I, like most normal people, tend to sit in a chair whilst using a computer so I never have to deal with it.

He said he doesn't move his head around..

The whole issue with TN panels and viewing angle really only matters for colour crucial applications such as photography, video editing and graphic design.
