Ok, not terribly important but bugging the crap out of me. I have 77 knife kills. You need 50 for the Veteren Badge, but my badge is still bronze. It does give me green checks by both requirements (Basic Badge and 50 total kills), but no silver color badge. It also does not give me credit for the Veteren Badge as a component ot the Marksmen Infantry Medal which is what I was really working towards. What the heck?
I thought you had to get a certain amount of Knife kills in a round to qualify for the Veteran Knife badge. Unless they have changed it.

Nope. Basic is 7 IAR, veteren is 50 total, and expert is 100 total. Don't get it.

My PID is 192336682 My in game name is pupinabox. I just did some searching of the topic and it looks like some others have had trouble with this badge also. Some took a few days to update. I am not home right now so I don't know if my BFHQ has updated. Will check.
Well, I got on another server when I got home and the badge was awarded about 30 seconds into the game. Go figure.

I had that problem with the Veteran Explosive Ordinance badge... I got the 20 required kills twice already, on two different servers, but no badge. BF2 pisses me off sometimes.
I've had the same issues, but I was never really concerned. I had gotten the required kills for expert, but I eventually got the badge randomly joining a server. I had actually just jumped into a Blackhawk.
Yeah, the knife and pistol badges seem to be awarded a bit late after earning the global requirements...kinda like when you rank up on joining a server + scoring a point
