Other than the whole Mac vs Windows argument is complete bullshit, did you have to post a video of some guy who I now believe to be the biggest douchebag alive? His command of the English language and grammar is reprehensible.

OSX is not UNIX, it's based on BSD which is based on UNIX. Linux is much more comparative to UNIX than a Mac is. Still, that is pretty much a Mac's only strong point.

There ARE viruses and security exploits on Macs just as well as Windows.

It may be "more stable" than Windows, but I can't even tell you the last time my Windows crashed on me. I'm not saying Windows doesn't crash, sure it does. But I've seen Mac's crash too. If you know how to take care of your system then it will be stable no matter what your environment is.

I almost had to close the video when he said Mac hardware was better than PC hardware. lololol

"More secure because we have less viruses and stuff". I don't have to rip on this one, self explanatory.

Resale value... perhaps they have better resale value because they cost three times as much to begin with. Simple logic there.

Oh and lolz when he's talking about what the inside of a PC looks like. "When a company takes pride in the way their systems look and are setup, that tells me that they take pride in the software that's going to be put on these machines". Okay lets just stop there. You don't know what you are talking about, clearly. I assumed this video was a rip on why Mac's are better than Windows? Well, Microsoft doesn't fucking make OEM's you dumbass. And OEM's don't make Windows. So what the fuck are you getting at? Any self respected PC user doesn't buy OEM anyway. The greatest things about PC is that YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY OEM!

You can dualboot Windows, but it is not the same as having a Windows PC. Just the same as I can dualboot OSX but it's not the same as having a Mac. The point is, I didn't buy a PC to run OSX...so why would I want to do that in the first place? Linux is far superior to OSX so if it wasn't for games, I'd be running that.

"Windows Vista 64 bit sucks". Sigh.... And what the fuck is he talking about Leopard is 32 bit and 64 bit? So is Windows. XP/Vista 64bit runs 32bit applications just fine, no problems at all.

Easier to use - completely subjective. If your mom can't use XP, well then she is an idiot.

Oh, and, "computers do a lot more than games". Yeah well they do a fuck of a lot more than surf the fucking internet too. I don't see any Mac's running in corporate datacenters.


I swear, every Mac user is the same. They must hoard them into a small room and brainwash them so they all think alike.

I'm astonished about the number of people here who haven't heard about Emeek. He is the biggest Mac vs. PC troll on the planet. He also said is that a G92 on an Apple-branded PCB is faster than other G92s and GT200-based cards

My personal opinion about Apple and Macs is that it's a good concept, I mean, who wouldn't want an easy-to-use OS? However, Apple is an evil corporation, who aside from making their platform 100% closed, advertise their products in all the wrong ways and work in a very strict "you-don't-need-to-know" manner.

Less viruses.  I will agree with that statement.  Those of us in the IT field refer to it as security through obscurity.  There just aren't enough Macs for those writing viruses and whatnot to even bother.  If the Mac ever gets the market presence of the PC, Mac users better hold onto their shorts.

Stability.  Bullshit.  We have 4 Macs in our art department, and we have problems with them all the time.

Can game as good as a PC with a lesser video card.  No need to comment beyond the fact that he doesn't understand a single damn thing about hardware.

Ease of use, again, BS.  Even before I got into computers, and in fact hated them because I didn't know how to use them, I tried using the college's computer lab.  Tried the Macs because they were supposed to be so easy to use.  NOT!  I couldn't figure out the Mac to save my life, but was able to fumble my way through a PC.

Now, lets talk about software and backwards compatibility...it's almost non-existent.  I can't count how many times the art department people have called us about issues with PS, Quark, and several of their other applications.  This version of the software has known issues with this version of OSX, but we won't be fixing your version, we will be releasing a new version of the program that you can buy.  Oh, this version of the software requires this version of OSX to be compatible.  Oh, you don't need printer drivers for this printer, it's included in the OS...yeah right, that's why this damn version of OSX still won't work with this printer.

I will give him this.  Mac chassis are very durable, and stylish.  In that department I have yet to find a PC that can top them there.

YOu can buy one of those ugly mac cases without macs and mac logo for like 1/3 the price Apple sells them. But they still suck. Appearantly you haven't checked out enough PC chassis, there are plenty out there that top MAC chassis every possible way you can imagine.

As for Macbook chassis, I would just get one of those slim Lenovos. Doest the same job, looks nice and doesn't suck wallet dry.
