As the title says, I want to download a torrent from the first file to the last file but in order.  I know I saw a way to do this before but I cant remember how to do it (using utorrent).  Theres some check box or something that allows you to go from start to finish instead of downloading random parts if I remember correctly.  Anyone know how to do this?

To Mods: Nothing illegal being discussed here, torrents themselves are perfectly legal

Well that's a stupid idea. Torrents come in parts for easier download and they grab the parts it's easier to get to from another seeder.

But anyway, you can select in uTorrent individual pieces of the files after you click on the torrent you're currently download, look at the bottom of the screen.

Now right click on a part and select Do not download.

My advice however is to select low priority for a part you don't want, high priority for what you do want. You'll get the pieces in the same order you are after, but what you suggest would slow your download times if a part is qued but unavailable atm from another peer/seeder.leech you are connected with.

If you're downloading something that's episodic, finishing the first file first is a good idea because you can start watching/doing whatever sooner.

Which is why I suggested high priority to the first pieces. But if you're trying to download episode one which everyone is trying to leech, you might as well get a piece of episode two, three, etc while you're waiting.

When you download the torrent, you can uncheck episodes you don't want to download. If you want to download all episodes in a torrent sequentially, you can select the torrent, click the "Files" tab, and then right click all but the first episode and select "Don't download". Once the first episode is complete, you set the priority of the second episode to "Normal", and you keep doing that 'till you've downloaded all the episodes.

I agree, I only meant to suggest that it wasn't a stupid idea.

Yeah, the priority thing was what I was doing since it was episodic.  I thought there was a different way though, but thanks anyways
