Well if one only booked 100 hours per year, they would have it by now. That's only about 17 minutes of armor a day for 4 years

It's the last award I have left to get after 3 years of playing...I'm 10hrs away, but haven't played BF2 in a couple of months, think I may finally be free!

tis ridiculous.the other vehicle badges are 150 hours or less, it would only be logical for the armor badge to be the same.
this is a tough one and most boring to get too i would imagine

Personally I would leave armour as it is, as I find it harder to get planes and helicopters time as all the whores get them first, making it impossible for anyone to learn how to fly, either the planes or heli's where as with armour it's fairly easy to get hold of one, correct me if I am wrong?
Plus I think that you get "Time" awarded for armour by being the gunner or just riding along in armour, not sure if thats 100% true but I am pretty dam sure it is. Hence the required time in armour being higher/longer.

For me though, armour is now fairly boring. At least flying takes a bit of time to learn, and once you've learned it can be good fun...armour is ok for a while, but 400hrs is a bit nuts. I would go with 250 (right now I'm at 390/400).

You are right, there is no better feeling then shoot a plane down with a tank during they try to bomb you. (I hate planes, to stupid to fly.)

I`m not gonna go too much into the psychology of computer games, but the 400 hours expert tank badge is in a way forcing a gaming addiction onto the players of BF2.
The inclusion of a rank/reward system is brilliant, it makes the game more interesting and longer lasting, but there is a limit for how much time you as a player should spend on pursuing the ranks and medals.
In my view i think Dice has put to high demands in respect to the time the player has to put in to reach the top rank and get all the awards.
I find myself obsessing about BF2, that means i`m partially hooked and i`m not liking the idea that a computer game can make me prioritize playing BF2 instead of spending time with friends, family and my wife.
Look at how the MMORG`s are creating recluse people who more or less spend all their time on line and in some ways give up their personal life to "become" their on line character.
If the gaming industry want`s to continue to be as loosely controlled as they are now i thing it`s about time they realize their impact on peoples life's and start restraining them selves before the government does it for them.
