So I was on one server I had played several times before already.
I liked the server up until yesterday.
It was one with Karkand all the time.I usually prefer those servers that have several infantry maps in rotation, but they were full, so I switched to the first with a city map that was not full.
(I have several of them in my fav-list, Sharqi, Karkand, Mashtuur just for the time the rotating maps are full)
Turned out I could be commander since no one had taken the job.
After a while I see that the western Arty gets blown up although 2 blue dots are standing there.
I hop into a Hummer and head down there to repair it. When I arrive I see the two dots and a MEC standing there, one of the blues was a medic.
So I jumped from the Hummer and ran towards them, killed the MEC with the shotgun.
Suddenly the two others start shooting at me, one of them scoring a TK.
Then one tells me to "get lost there" I spawned again and headed back towards the arty and repaired it.
Walking back into the yard right next to the Arty the MEC is back there.
Gave him a taste of the boomstick again and was yelled at a bit more. No TK this time though.
Up comes a Spec Ops to blow the Arty. I kill him. No yells from them anymore.
Then a kick vote against me gets initiated, it gets 4 votes (probably the guys that were padding) but 4 is not enough to get me out of the game.
Suddenly someone from the MEC's side (probably the one I killed twice) says "This is not your server, we are trying something out, a$$hole"
I said: "Oh, sorry. Can I pad my knife badge too? "
No reply.
They searched a new spot after that, I saw the "Padderguy [Knife] so-and-so" several times then and Padderguy finally thanked the guys that helped him "earn" his knife badge.
It is one thing when people on their clanserver pad their badges, but a totally different thing when they insult people who interfere with their little padding game.
They could have used a spot a bit off the main mayhem and no one would have been the wiser.
Ah well, probably just wanted to rant about the server, I guess.
