Luke Vibert's latest album: We Hear You.
It's wonderful to hear the return of the blissed-out acid grooves of one of the genres finest producers. Vibert has been recording under many different names for the better part of 15 years now- keeping good company with the likes of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher and u-Ziq (most of his records being released on Planet Mu records), and his sound in recent releases has reached such a genre-defining zenith that it's hard to imagine how he can possibly push the envelope any further. In 'We Hear You', he surprises yet again by doing just that. His comic, sample-laden beats chop up fleeting feelings of childhood nostalgia, with his retro-sound-bites and the giggling sounds of children's voices, with serious dance-driven basslines and acid-synth 'throw your hands up!' key melodies. In a genre constrained by the sounds of the old Roland synths and drummachines, Vibert seemingly still finds plenty of room to play around with his sound in a uniquely artistic way that courts between the immaculate and impressively-mastered producer's touch and the playful, Aphex-like good humour of the British electronic elite. Several years on from seminal releases such as 'Lover's Acid', and blending in the aural legacies of his side-projects - Wagon Christ, Spac Hand Luke, Kerrier District, Amen Andrews and many, many more - 'We Hear You' presents an incredible culmination of sound. Classic acid, drum'n'bass, breakbeat, house-anthems, dubstep-wobbles and Vibert's classic trip-hop bliss all fuse together and tickle your eardrums for 13 tracks of brilliance; 13 tracks of evocative nostalgia, yet more importantly, 13 tracks of fresh, new material from one of the world's greatest acid producers. After mastering the genre and sound of acid to such a refined degree, and after his historic collaboration with the inventor of the original acid-Moog synthesizer, Jean-Jacques Perrey, you have to wonder what is next for the big man. I'm keeping my ears tuned in eager anticipation... why aren't you?

My favorite album from John Legend, it's a nice mix of chilled out, neo-soul tunes. Some soft, some a bit more up beat. Another album that I can listen to start to finish, simply amazingWikipedia wrote:

I'm listening to the new album The Resistance by Muse for the first time right now.
AFAIK, it will officially be published tomorrow or so, but you know the internet...
Apart from the fact that it's only a rip which is quite bad in quality (128-160kbps), I'm really liking it so far. It's got all you'd expect from a new Muse-album, but there's more. In almost every song you recognize their influences (think of Flight of the Conchords - the lyrics are hilarious but still you always know which artists are represented). I think I heard some Freddie Mercury and some Moby in there already and I'm not even half way through.
So far my rating would be 9/10, but it might change when I have the time to listen to it another 5 times or so.
