by the way what other actual purpose is there to leave your favourite bands playing 24/7 other than to rack up a shit load of listens? are there some other benefits that im missing and haven't seen in 6 years of using the site? back in the old days they had a 'top listeners' static-chart based on all-time highest scrobbles per artist... but they got rid of that ages ago. so there really isn't any point other than just to basically have an easy go-to list of 'hey look! i love these bands sooo much, aren't i cool?' sorry thing to your peers.

Jesus Christ my play count has skyrocketed in 4 months. I wonder what my play count would be if I didn't stop using last.fm for a year and a half or so. Falling asleep to music on a pretty constant basis adds to the huge amount of recent plays too I guess.
