Hi guys, I want to get a girl perfume, she is turning 20, what is a good perfume for girls of this age group? Thanks.
How much you want to spend?
Go to a department store at the mall and ask the girl behind the counter (cosmetic section) the question. Otherwise save some time and just pick one out randomly....my method actually.
Get her the *insert female singer here* fragrance

@ 1927: No more than $60.
@ Aussie: Yeah, but that's all of them
What about something by Elizabeth Arden, is it the right age group?

Asking a bunch of guys on a gaming forum probably isn't the best idea in the world ...
Do what loubot said, tbh.

Lacoste or Jean Paul Goiter I reckon.Vub wrote:

Cool Water.
Are you trying to get into this girls knickers?
Chanel no. 5
Or
Go to a store, ask to sample them, pick one you like.
(Can't stand the smell of cheap perfume)

Mine makes me buy her the shit that comes in a green box (sounds like something from an alien porno does that) Poison its called. £30 fucking quid right and its fucking tiny what she gets.
Does Lady Gaga have a fragrance?
*shudders
Why not buy her a gift voucher from a perfumery and let her decide?

Perfume's a difficult one because it's pretty personal. Unfortunately with giving perfume you've either got to know EXACTLY what she likes or fork out for the most expensive you can find.
Chanel's a safe bet - mush moreso than "au de [insert celebrity here]" and from what I've heard Elizabeth Arden seems to be aimed at a more mid-30s+ age group. I wouldn't think it matters but try telling that to a girl.
But, uh, as your budget is $60 I don't think that you're going to find a fairly priced Chanel. I dunno, see what you can find. It's been a long time since I've had to buy perfume.

I'd go for Carolina Herrera 212. It's pretty mild in scent but has lots of character, good for 24/7 use and you'll get a hard-on every time you smell it. But, as Ty said:
So.. ..I dunno, go smell some scents with her.Ty wrote:

I need around tree fiddy.
If she was worth the effort I'd take her into the store and say you can have anything in here that you want.Dilbert_X wrote:

But that if should be underlined, bold and very big. So I've adjusted accordingly.

Vub - If it get's ya dick wet I dont suppose it matters what it smells like does it eh?  :nudge: :nudge: . We have high street perfume parlours over here where you may get a discount.
It's our anniversary, so it's meant to be a surprise Don. I'll try Carolina, how is it priced?
Ahh fuck, sorry Vub, I'll shut up then.Vub wrote:

When I got the male fragrance of 212, it was somewhere in the same ball park with Hugo Boss, Lagerfeld and Hilfiger, so I guess it's the same range with the womens fragrances. Somewhere in the 40-70 USD range?Vub wrote:

Haha that isn't my intention mate. Also, since Australia pretty much imports every consumer good, there is always a hefty markup. If only girls could wear prawns, or iron ore, or even sheep (this applies for NZ as well).1927 wrote:

Fail again. Just give her an IOU on the back of a bus ticket, it would be about as romantic. If she was worth the effort I'd take her into the store and say you can have anything in here that you want.
Hint - Girls like to know you've engaged your brain, for more than a fraction of a second, to think about them and their wants.
'I have money, you choose' = Fail
Er except with cougars....

Chanel is a classic, can't guarantee a 20 year old will appreciate it though.

Be warned: chicks usually already know what kind of perfume like - so it's risky to buy something else. Most will like the same kind (cuz that shit is expensive).
Be warned: its a trap. If you know what kind they use, or what kind they would like, they might think you are strange.
