I have tried downloading the BF2 1.5 all day today. Every time I do so, some problem or error always occurs, prohibiting me from being able to download 1.5. Someone on this forum linked to a website which lists several places to download 1.5. The problems I have which each website is specified next to their links.

USA

BSN Gaming - http://www.bsngaming.com/bf2/BF2_Patch_1.50.exe and http://dl1.bsngaming.com/BF2_Patch_1.50.exe Internet explorer cannot display these websites, and/or causes browser to crash. I have to reboot.

Fileplanet - http://www.fileplanet.com/files/200000/204626.shtml Requires a credit card, and money to create an account and download any content.

GamersLifeLine - http://www.gamerslifeline.com/downloads … amp;id=602 File downloaded successfully after many hours, unable to install due to "windows does not recognize this file type."

Hypernia - https://support.hypernia.com/index.php? … 2,56,61,62 Download crashes about 5% through. Causes my internet connection to fail for a few moments. I have to restart my computer in order to correct this.

WOLF Servers - http://redirect.wolfservers.com/wolfser … sks71z59w/ Download either doesn't work, or downloads at 3KBps.

Out of frustration and desperation, I tried the other European and Australian servers, but I get similar problems when trying to download 1.5 from them. Does EA/DICE have an official download? I had almost identical problems when trying to download the 1.5 beta patches weeks earlier.

Looks like i'm not the only one having problems installing the patch..

I have it downloaded, twice.

Try to run it, ask for permission to run the .exe then it hangs and does nothing... WTF?

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Can you link me to a location where you successfully downloaded, and installed 1.5 with no problems?

Those links should work fine, dude. I really don't think it's the links that are your problem, it's either a dodgy connection on your side, or some Vista problem with the installation. Really can't help much more.

I have since downloaded and installed the patch successfully. But the game crashes literally every single time after joining a server. I would give you my opinion on 1.5 if I were actually able to fucking play it.

Hope it all gets better

I've got one.

"Modified Content" disconnection from a server.  After I play a few rounds.  Loading a Vanilla map.

The key is is that I can load into a server of ANY map fine.  But once the map changes, and it loads it, it makes it all the way to the "Join" button, then kicks me to the browser.

Oh well.

Modified content is caused by your machine loading the map faster than the server.
This causes a mismatch between the map you have and what the server is still on. Thus kicked for modified content.

There is no fix for this except load the map slower. Try alt tabbing to stop map loads. This ensures the server loads the map before you do.
