Yep I'm sure, maybe you were firing at Ks with less shielding or something.

Looks like Crystal Fabs in Mugens pic.

Also I play Vanilla.

Hammerhead Missile
Missile Type: Seeker
Range: 86km
Speed: 172m/s
Ware Size: M
Volume: 1
Average Price: 80856
Max Damage: 1 250 000
Mountable On: Most Commonwealth M3 or larger ships
The ultimate big BOOM missile. You want to have some distance between you and this thing when it goes off; definitely do not fire it if you are under enemy fire! Will take down a TL in one shot and a few of them will make short work of capital ships.

So it does take a few.

AA 2x only as you only keep on playing a single savegame the game slows down; a limitation of the engine as you build more & more stuff/get more ships.
I've got about 2.5billion worth of factories, so there's a lot (there's a handy script which counts all your total credits, both cash and in assets).

Anyway right now it produces only teladianium since a 'quest' in terran conflict requires loads of different goods i.e.: 250k tela, 450k ore, 250k crystals, 75k microchips (not complete list thought).

I'm only at the part where I have to get the tela, getting that amount of microchips is insane and all in all it's gonna take a while

Yeah, figures. The K´s on Xenon Invasions might have lesser shielding at first. Should be time for another one anyway, maybe I´ll look at it´s shielding before blasting it into oblivion

You build all that "just" for Teladianium? So you´re not even selling that shit? Holy cocks
Do you have a link to the script? I´m looking for one to show me my hourly profit, too. Or is there a way to calculate that?

Last Thursday my friend brought a copy of a saved game.
He just go a mission were Xenons are invading.  It's fun to see J or K ships to spawn drop fighters and jump away and do this in repetition.
My system is having too much lag so we jumped out of the sector and let the fight run.

We are in Meanelaous Paradise, the sector next to Gestu Fune on the top right corner of the map.
He's got a Colossus, 2 titans, 5 M7, about 20 LXs, 5 or 6 Nova and a few Busters and not to forgot a captured Ka'ak ship.

As I said and we let the AI manage the battle.
One of the ending we killed 104 Xenons and we had a the Borons pay us 22,000,000 credits but we lost about 15 Lx, nova, busters and the Ka'ak.  Another run we killed 37 Xenons and we received 18,500,000 and we lost 4 ships.  Would like to know how the reward is calculated.

The 1st time we ran that fight we were in the sector where the battle was happening, the sky was filled with energy waiting ti hit anything.
That was fun to watch even though I was running at about 10 frames per second.  Shit when looking on the sector map, the vessels he had is making a page and a half!

That are the Xenon Invasions I was talking about. You can get them every 8 ingame hours at the BBS board in all the stations next to a xenon sector.
As for the calculation, the capital ships bring the big money. If you had killed only the J´s and K´s you would have had about the same sum payed to you. Of course if you leave the jumping J´s alone for several hours, they will spawn endless amounts of fighters, but the big money is in the capital ships.

Found the script which allows you to see how much you've spent on factories/how many you've got etc.

Actually if you put some single factories of the whole complex strategically and link them, you can link that hub with your main hub etc. in order to 'bridge' the distance from the mines to your complex.

Perhaps I'll post some pictures later.

Congratz on the purchase, this game suck away time like a black hole matter.

Dunno for Terrran COnflict specific, only played vanilla, but I guess the start is more or less similar.

Buy energy cells in the sector right of argon prime (line of energy or something) and sell in argin prime. Once you did that a few hours, go for minerals. Orebelt is the place to buy and the surrounding sectors are the ones to sell. Emperors mines are good for that one too, sell the stuff in paranis prime then.
The first factory you should buy is a distillery. Good money in that. Herron Nebula is a good place to put it up. Asteroids there too, so you can turn it into a self-sufficient complex later on.
Keep placig drug complexes (weed and booze). When you start to make big money on a regular basis, invest into hightech product. Wafers, chips, quantum thingies. Good places for that are Antigone Memorial, Orebelt and Elenas Fortune.

Every universe develops differently, so there is no general outline that will always bring max profits.

After your first couple of factories, try to spend the time doing BBS missions instead of flying yourself. They bring good money and help advance your rank.

I had X2 The Threat but at the time never really got round to playing it much, but generally I love these type of games, so basically which is the latest/greatest version that I should get?

I've recently rediscovered my old childhood love for space combat shooters. However, I've never played any of the X games. If I enjoyed games like Freespace, would I enjoy the X series?

Right, not sure if I'm doing the right thing here but I'll trust your recommendation Finray and try Reunion. One thing though is it as fucking complicated as it looks? Are the tutorials etc. sufficient to get me going?
henno Freespace was and tbh I think if your after something similar this will probably be your best bet.
