Shiver me timbers! Another Pirates of the Caribbean is coming.

To announce the big news, Johnny Depp sailed onstage upon a pirate ship at the Anaheim Convention Center on Friday to announce the upcoming fourth installment of the Disney franchise, according to The Associated Press.

Depp, dressed as his pirate alter-ego, Capt. Jack Sparrow, announced the news to about 5,000 fans at the D23 Expo.

Depp will reprise his role in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, scheduled to hit theaters in summer of 2011.

Don't get me wrong I liked the third one I just think it wasn't as good as the first two. For me it's 1 > 2 > 3.

The first one was easily the best. The next two more or less sucked and were simply trying to capitalize on how much people liked the first.

Last month I heard a rumor on the radio that Disney was thinking of making the 4th but Johnny Depp was asking a lot more $$$. Disney said FU. I wonder if this is a ploy to show Disney they really need him.

POTC is the one series that, no matter how bad any movie is, I'll still enjoy watching. Mostly due to my former obsession with the parks.

That's like saying 'the Hobbit' is a part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It's related, but apart from the set.

I'm glad they're not bringing Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann back into the picture. They all evolved into good characters, but what more can you do with them? Swann's queen of the pirates and is married to Turner, who's inherited the Flying Dutchman and an entire host of supernatural powers. Nothing short of an alien invasion could provide much of a challenge.

The Fountain of Youth is a better focus.
