Sony Vaio, too, is overpriced, so don't use that as a comparison and say that both macs and non-macs are equally priced. The Sony Vaio is not the only non-Mac, whereas all Macs are overpriced.

Sony Vaio is more expensive than other (HP for example) laptops with the same hardware. Sony and Apple offer one of the most expensive non-gaming laptops on the market

i use sony vaio as a comparison because they ARE the comparison. they are the equivalent to macs- relatively high-performance, 'premium' brand. there's like 30 different types of vaio and they're all each as overpriced as any of the 3/4 macbook models. saying im picking purposefully on the high-priced pc laptops is err, THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES SENSE. doesnt really carry any weight if you compare budget ASUS laptops with a mac, does it? you get what you pay for in hardware, customer service, branding and the rest of the whole package. im not trying to prove that macs are cheap or budget-affordable. the only thing ive ever argued against is the "macs suck because they r expensive" argument. because apple are far from the only company that have premium-priced products. ive always said this: if you cant afford it, fair enough, shut the fuck up and go buy a dell. doesnt make the product inherently bad because it's priced above your accessibility. rolex watches dont cost £12,000 to make either, you know, many people still think that they're great watches. bmw's manufacturing cost doesnt match their court-retail pricetag. people still aspire to drive them. high profit markups are NOTHING new. read my original post in this topic. apple are far from the only ones, therefore your bandwagon is built on bullshit.

I don't have an iPod because I belive I can get the same sound quality, endless storage (due to SD card input), and same functionality from my £20 MP3 player.

I have a Motorla Razer. I don't need a camera, I don't need an MP3 player, I have both.

I shop at Primark for clothes. They look good, and are cheap. I can get a pair of jeans for £8 that'll last me 4-5 months.

I'm saying if my VXR laptop can do everything your BMW Macbook can do, for cheaper, then the shiny white coat and Mac sticker are NOT worth another £200.
