Print screen on an Apple keyboard [solved]

I've been using an fApple keyboard for the past couple months and I'm loving it, mainly because of its size as it takes half the space than my Logi Wave did. But I haven't found the Pint screen button yet, does it even exist? I have to use On screen keyboard which is rather annoying since this keyboard is always visible when I wan't to prtscrn.

We just use shift+cmd+3 to take a full screenshot (and Shift+Cmd+4 for some other stuff).

Damn it does not work like that in Windows. It starts opening shortcuts on my taskbar.

As far as I am aware there is no printscreen button, or equivalent, on (modern - they did have them back in the G3 era) Apple keyboards.

thanks Bert & co. But I'm sticking with this keyboard anyway. Maybe I'll find an app. that does printsceening and is unnoticeable.

You could just remap another key to do the same thing....

Either in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout

Or with a tool like this:

Keymapper

I really don't understand the point of the new Apple keyboards. Why do you need a tiny keyboard when you've got a desk to use it on? Laptop keyboards suck. The limited key travel is a compromise to save space. Why would you want them on your desktop?

Are you thinking of the bluetooth keyboard? That's the only small one that fits your description. The standard keyboard is normal length, it's just slimline. They just don't have a printscreen button, it's F14 or something. You use CMD-SHFT-4 (or 3, but 4's better) to do screenshots.

I can understand the reasoning behind why people may want a small wireless keyboard. Because it's often not on a desk.

The small one is the one without the numpad. I thought it was wired though, maybe I'm wrong about that. I don't really see why you can't move a fullsized wireless keyboard around the room though, and certainly not why they have to use the laptop keys.
