Would you guys recommend buying a Medion? The Aldi/Hofers around here always have such stupidly cheap sales on Medion products. A friend of mine has the netbook from Medion and likes it, looks and acts just like a first-gen Acer Aspire One, a friend has the navigation system they build and it's nice, too. Just curious about their LCD monitors. I know pretty much everyone here says: "just buy something from Samsung" ... I'm just interested to hear if anyone has any experiences with Medion.
Over here Medion is sold in Aldi, or Safeway, or Target or some non-tech store.
Edit: Holy shit, so it isn't just us.
Their laptops always die. Haven't seen a monitor die yet, but... y'know. It's from a supermarket.

My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.
My computer is a Medion, so is my monitor. I've always liked the computers, and hadn't had a problem with the monitor so far (4+years).
I don't like Aldi for many things, but I sure am happy of their hardware

Medion are fairly decent, for office work, we have a few where I work and they're decent little screen, nice and clear but, for gaming, just forget it lol.
Hmm ... so you would say not to buy one if I wanted to game? I was looking into getting a 22" or so, and they usually have really nice widescreens for sale. Well, cheap prices, at least. Always been a bit wary about them, though.
I game with my mine, lol. Sure, it's not the best of the best, but who cares. You know mediocre stuff usually works great and does the job just fine
I've tried gaming on them, the blurring is so horrible I couldn't live with it, that said, I say that about my old monitor which i loved at the time, I use it from time to time now and it's just laughable compared to my current one. Guess it's what you're used to.
Cheapest LCD I can recommend for gaming is BenQ. If you want quality, look for Samsung. Cheapest brands like this are pretty shitty for gaming. They show a picture, but thats about it. These are far from even mediocre.

True, I haven't really used anything better to be honest, but I guess I'm so used to this one that I don't have any problems with it. That would be different once I've used a decent one, I guess.TheEternalPessimist wrote:
