So there were a couple of G9s lying around at work, and I figured I'd take one home and give it a try as I could easily return it. I've been a logitech fanboy for a long time now anyway. Verdict: this mouse is the awesome of being terrible. People don't have square hands, its shape sucks. The wide grip is also uncomfortable. The edges of the mouse snag my mousepad whenever I pick it up and move it. Its texture is designed to make my hand sweat buckets. I can't really think of a single way in which this mouse is better than my current G5, it simply sucks in my opinion
That said I can't stand my G5 anymore because
See where the thumb goes? most sane people grip their mouse right at the bottom when they're playing videogames, me included. Except there's a relatively sharp edge right there on the G5 where it curves outwards, so after an hour of playing games my thumb is hurting from the deep groove pressed into it
So yeah I'm looking for a mouse that is pretty much like this G5 but without the sharp edge, or whatever you want to personally recommend. A flat left side for comfortable thumbing is mandatory
