It sort of does, non experienced snipers can get a lot of kills with it but in the right hands it is amazing, on a map like Karkand you can get a lot more kills with the SVD than bolt actions and most other guns, but playing ranged bolt action on Karkand means you have a better chance of having less deaths so they both have their uses, but SVD would make noobs more happy than bolt actions.aimless wrote:

If you're talking about BF:BC than you're wrong, they don't kill in one shot. You either need to get a headshot or do the shoot/pistol trick to get quick kills. Or work with a small squad like in BF2 and be the "kill assister" that's what I was when I used to whore the M95. Just stick with a squad and use the cannon to strip the health and let some other faggot get the kill. Sometimes I was lucky and got a kill myself.H3RB4L ABU53 wrote:

The M95 is good for pistol switch kills because the pistol kills straight away nomatter if they are armoured or not, it's not as consistent for headshots as the L96 and M24 but for drag bodyshots it can be really really good and definately makes people run away and hide if you hit the body.
I agree with COD4 sniping is shit, there are loads of vids of people being skilled as sniper in that game, fair enough no scopes are easy as anything compared to BF2 as it's the centre of the screen but I still don't know how they snipe without dying on that, suppose it's just experience, I hate enclosed arena type games like that, you can't compare it to sitting on the hills sniping on a massive map (or even Karkand) like in BF2

When I had my old monitor I had the centre pixels marked with tiny bit of blu tack no scopes were accurate on COD4 but I never played it much

I think it's where I just haven't played long enough to learn any of the maps on COD4 that's why I find it hard
You can rack up alot of kills with it in a round.
