Gee, now if only the fact that America was the most generous nation in the world was not true, your bullshit coulda had a point. Oh wellrammunition wrote:
Look, this shows once more what an individualistic society America has always been. They don't care about the poor and needy and they only think of themselves. They go don't think about the 40 million plus Americans who have no healthcare of any kind.lowing wrote:
excellent point Spark, yet another reason why our govt. shouldn't be in charge of my health. With such incompetency they are not proving themselves capable.Spark wrote:
Wow how did you guys fuck up so badly that illegal immigrants have become so important to your economy that you quite clearly can't do without them?
edit: my bad liq...
The sign of a truly civilised nation is when absolutely every single person (rich or poor) has access to healthcare. It may sound socialist, but healthcare is a fundamental right and socialism is perfectly justified this one time.
My cartoon's better.
I know there are legitimate points against public option healthcare but much of the objection seems to stem simply from people being opposed to the idea of socialised healthcare without actually considering it's merits. As soon as it's tagged with "socialism" you instantly think of mister J. V. Stalin all the good he did in the Soviet Union. The Red Menace shit stopped years ago, socialism isn't an enemy it's another way of doing things and in terms of healthcare it has been proven to work.

Most arguments both for and against socialized healthcare in this thread is about the marginals and not about the general benefits and/or flaws ...
