Just got back from an awesome bike ride organized by all the schools in the region. It's once a year and students from France and Switzerland come to it. It's called "Ecrin Vert".

So basically, you've got a mountain bike and you pick a course. I took 42km and here's the pictures, it was a wonderful hot sunny day with a great view

I'll get a picture of my cool bike on here. Front and rear disk breaks, forward and rear suspension, it's amazing and it's so great and easy to change the gears and especially the suspension while you're riding.

That's not me ^^

It seemed nobody took the 42km course so don't be surprised there's never anybody on the roads.

Good for you.  That is some pretty country.  I've only seen Switzerland in the winter.  How long was the ride?
I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something.  - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.

Well, we have 8 hours to do it (There's far people in Switzerland too you know) but I did the 42 km in 4:30 hours.

It's so beautiful, just a shame it's nearly all uphill until the end. You start at a town at around 700m altitude and climb to about 1400 or 1500, don't know the exact height.

Edit: I emptied about 4l of tea. Every 1 or 2km they had a station with supplies (Chocolate bars, hot or cold teas, bread, etc...).

I know a couple of "Heavy" people who barely made the 8 hours. Man I remember when we were at like 2 or 3km some heavy guy asks one of the security guys who watch how much further it was.

Jeez I can't imagine being fat, especially since I'm 48km and 1m 70cm

Anyway, gona go take a picture of my bike. It's brand new and was clean when I got it.

The Swiss really seem to love their bikes. Personally, I prefer cars.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

O Rly?

That bike ride sounds like a lot of fun. There isn't much countryside 'round these parts for biking like that. Some marsh land that are nice.

Here's my old piece of shit, maybe that's why you prefer cars, hope you've never had one of these Jumbo 200 franc bikes.

Well, I've been needing a new bike for a long time now. I wanted a hard tail that is exactly like that but, obviously with no rear suspension. So the bike I've wanted went down 300 francs (end of the season) and when we went some asshole bought it. Fuck him

Anyway, so my Dad rushed to get me this bike because I needed if for today, and last night a friend of his who rents bikes for downhill rides was selling his bikes (as he does every year, he gets new ones, lol) so I got a great cheap great quality bike for a low price and it was barely used.

I can barely sit.

I was supposed to ride my bike to my Grandma's for lunch today, it's a short 4km but after 100m from my house I turned around and asked my mom to drive me.

It hurts bad. 42km of that seat, not to mention the little amount of downhill we had was VERY steep and through dark forests where you couldn't see shit. Oh friend got a branch in his arm when he fell. I think he's okay, he has had a big white thing around his arm after.

I remember when I got there and saw the ambulance waiting just in case and the 4 ATVs that are ready on a moments notice this would be big :p I didn't actually realize how many people 1166 is until I saw the huge assembly hall filled with people.

The Swiss Civil Security was at every crossroad telling you where to go and every 1 or 2km there was 2 or 3 guys with a ton on tea for us to refill our stuff.

I had a camel back but forgot it in the car like an idiot just as my Dad had dropped me off. But they give you a canteen to keep (which I lost cause of the gay steep downhill slope) and a fanny pack.

The only way I could of done that is to train like fuck to get my ass tuff enuff, however, the ass problems I encounter from time to time for me this trip wouldnt be worth it, my spine would fall through I reckon.  I used to love doing rides on my bike before I was a Dad.  I'd roll about 4 spliffs and take the caps off my bar ends and do about 30 miles a day, staying stoned all day, stopping off in various forests to get spaced out
