So I got my 9800GT back from RMA. And I decide to try it out, I take out my 2900xt and install the 9800gt.

Start up the computer, boots into windows and freezes when xp finds the card. ok, reboot and it does the same thing (tried about 4-5 times). Great the card I just got back is also defective. (which I thought.)

So I install back my old card, boot up. No image. Fans turn, and lights are on like it would normally. No beeps nothing.

I call up my friend to bring over his comp so I can try the 9800 in his. Install the card and drivers, works wonders. So I know the 9800 works.

I go back to my pc, take out the 2900 and install the 9800 to see if my video card crapped out on me.  Does the same thing, boots but no image.

Next I take out the ram and try them one at a time, and in different slots. Same thing.

Anyone has a clue?

How would I do that? I heard of it but I have no clue on how to do it.  (yes I look dumb at this instant )

Edit: nvm I found it in my motherboard manual. I'll try that.
