Current specs : E5200, HD 4670, 4GB Crucial DDR2 @ 800Mhz, Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L

So I want to get this to replace my 4670:

The review on Guru3d recommended the HIS variation. Is that a good model? Comes with a free DiRT 2 download.

If you're going to suggest anything different, max budget for graphics card is maybe £150 ($250), and the budget for monitor is around £130 ($215)

On the 5770, I was thinking I would go with it because although atm its around 5% less powerful then the 4870, driver updates should soon bring it up. Also, DX11 and better crossfire scaling.

Lmfao. That's damn weird.

I really want the 5770 for Eyefinity, as I already have two monitors. (They are 5:4 though, so I dunno how well, if at all, it would work).

It's also only just a bit less powerful than the 260, but pulls a lot less power. DX11 is a nice plus, runs cooler (more OC headroom?).

Max says 260, Panzer says 5770... I'm really torn.

What's your thoughts on the T220?

The T220 is an epic monitor, no issues whatsoever. Picture clarity and color vibrancy is great.

I'm going with the 5770 mostly for the lower cost. At this time its not really worth the price to me to purchase a new PSU and pay the extra 20 bucks for the 260 for the minimal performance increase.

Also, for future upgrading, I think adding a crossfire 5770 would scale better then sli 260s. (though I could be totally wrong)

That's true, if I did need a bit more horsepower when the DX11 games started coming out, I could always invest in an CF mobo and another one.

Let me put it this way, when you can afford CF, there is single card at same price faster than the HD 5770 CF, basically making CF useless.

Supposedly the Anti Aliasing with the 5770 is better than the 4870 as well.

Do NOT get the crucial RAM! I have 4gb of 1066mhz. Within the last year i have replaced all 4gb twice. Just do a Google search and you will see how unreliable they are.
