I randomly decided the other day to get some Warhammer Space Marines and try and get good at painting them. When i was a lot younger i had a bunch but i've not picked up a paint brush for years and years.
My first attempt. The 2p is there for scale. For you folk in countries that don't use Sterling, well, thats my (pretty dirty) keyboard on the left of the 2nd pic. Also he's a work in progress. On a whim I used Blu-tac to stick his arms on yesterday so i could move them out of the way if i needed to re-paint something underneath. Same goes with sticking him to the base. Also his gun, shoulder pads and backpack are not on yet. I know he looks pretty rough up close like this but try to imagine him as small as he is in real life .
I got a pack of 10 space marines so I could do them one at a time and hopefully improve my painting each time.
PS I only bought 4 paints.
