"xxx.inf.txt" Windows 7 filetype issue.

So I skipped over Vista entirely, and now, in a quest to solve my MacBook's driver issues with Windows 7, I have encountered a very basic problem for which I have no solution due to me missing a generation of windows. I can do this in XP! Someone want to explain to me hwo to make my .inf.txt file not a text file and just the .inf? It seems to be... impossible!

First of all - Show file extensions.

Then right click > rename > remove .txt.
