I have a hard disk C and H drive. The C drive has all the memory and where I want to download all the programs to and they are all wanting to load onto the H drive and there isn't enough room for just about anything on that drive. How can I make it to where everything downloads to the C drive which has all the memory. Please help guys. I'm trying to download the patches for bf2, I already got bf2 vanilla to download to C drive but can't figure out how to do it for the patches.

If you're using FF.
Tools>Options>Main Tab>Save Files>Local Disk: C or where ever you want them.
If IE I don't know cause I don't use it. But should be something similar

Seems to be working guys, 16 percent on the 1.5 patch, I forgot how big this file is thanks guys. I'll update if it doesn't work.

I have another problem now I found out how to send it to the C drive, but I downloaded the patch 96 percent and my computer started acting up and I paused the download and restarted and now I can't figure out how to un pause it or even found where its at. I was 96 percent and don't want to re download that shit, it took hours on my computer, please help me find out where it is.
Open Firefox and press Control + J and resume the download. Chances are you can't though (Depends whether the host you got it from allows resuming) but try.

holy shit, it finished downloading and now when I try to run it, I get this message " You have too little space on your harddrive to patch BF2(TM), YOu need atleast 1600 MB." I have about 67 GB free on my C drive. I think its still trying to run on the H drive. Someone please help
If BF2 on your H Drive? If so, that's your problem right there. You need to uninstall BF2 and reinstall it to the C Drive. Then you can patch it.C0Ry<3 wrote:

Nahh, BF2 is in my C drive. I'm so confused. This is so weird. Any other suggestions?
Could you open up my computer and take a screenshot (Press prt scrn on your keyboard, paste to paint, save and upload somewhere) so we can see how your disk configuration is

I figured out how to free up some space on my harddrive, enough for the patch to run but now I'm getting another problem. OMG, problems after problems. It says I already have a newer version installed when I go to run the patch 1.5.. what does that mean? I've only downloaded it once... This is making me cranky..
Do you have one of the 1.5 beta patches installed? If you do, you have to reinstall BF2 and install the full 1.5 patch after installing full 1.41 patch.
Whereas if you are trying to install 1.5 on a clean install of BF2, you indeed first need to get and install the 1.4 full patch

I had 1.5 beta and just install 1.5 final over it no problems.
you need to install the 1.41 patch before you install the 1.5 patch

- Type "regedit" (without the quotes)
- Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
- In the right window doubleclick "ProgramFilesDir".
- The value of "ProgramFilesDir" is probably "c:\Program Files". Change this to a drive with at least of 1600 MB of free space. For example, I changed it to "E:\Program Files" (I did create a E:\Program Files folder just to be sure).
- Run the patch.
- After you've patched BF2, make sure to change the value of "ProgramFilesDir" back to "c:\Program Files".
