Yes, I do. YOU, however, must not know anything about it because you think you can actually shift a few tons of metal easily.
Power to weight ratio, that's what it's all about.
Yeah. And for short distances like I was talking about, say about 10 meters or so, the smaller car wins. Because it's not JUST power to weight, it's inertia as well, and the power curve and rotating masses of the various engines. A V8 or V6 will never spin up as fast as a smaller engine, because it just takes time to move the pistons and everything attatched.
It's also about momentum. When you accelerate the moment pushes the weight to the back wheels which makes the front ones lose traction. Why do you think sports cars (especially Porsches) are so good of the line? Its because most of the weight is over the rear wheels.

Front wheel drive is done to save on production costs and fuel economy in small low powered vehicles because it also saves space and weight. But they are not faster to any speed and they don't handle as well as a rear wheel drive car.

Torque to weight to be exact, and how well the engine spins up.
Too much torque and you just spin the wheels, It's also about traction.

Actually, being lighter due to the lack of a long drivetrain, they accelerate faster initially until the better dynamics of RWD take over, but that's generally all you need to hop into a gap.
And RWD may handle well at speed, but I don't fancy trying to parallel park without power going where the front wheels are pointing.

Another reason I love the Fiesta. So easy to get it in perfectly straight.

It's either easier with a small FWD car, or everyone driving big SUVs and luxury german trash is absolutely terrible at bay parking.

Now you're just trolling
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

And if you want to feel weird acceleration, check the engine in the Focus ST/RS
Ororor, check out Honda Type Rs. My Dad test drove an Accord Type R, and let me tell you, the acceleration in that thing is immense. It's quick when you floor it, really fucking quick, then it comes on cam at about 5500rpm and FUCK ME it's away again

You're either stupid, or you can't use the clutch, or you can't use the accelerator, which one is it?

Rear wheel drive cars can often get more wheel lock as the front wheels aren't contrained by the CV joints.
eg London taxis, Triumph Heralds etc.
I used to reckon to be able to get my Volvo Estate into a space that was a foot longer than the car
My Volvo saloon even less, since it had hydraulic bumpers

Wait, london taxis are RWD? I thought they'd have been an obvious candidate for FWD, what with the need for cabin space.
