CPU Z, AM3 720 BE, socket question

I've just recently upgraded my comp to an AMD Phenom II X3 720 AM3 processor on the GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard. This is clearly an AM3 cpu on an AM3 board, so why is it showing up on CPU Z that the socket is an AM2+ (940) socket? Is it some issue with CPU Z not properly recognizing the board or cpu? Also, I've got DDR3 RAM running.

Yes, it's CPU-Z improperly identifying the CPU. I also have a system with an AMD AM2+ board with 4GB of DDR2 installed and CPU Z only saw 2GB of the 4GB, but Windows and the BIOS saw all 4GB. The board in my system is also Gigabyte, so I wonder if it has anything to do with the Gigabyte boards?
