So I listened to the whole new daft punk album. Not sure why they picked get lucky as the single. I thought it was one of the weakest songs on the album. I guess it has mainstream appeal but the album shouldn't be judged on it.
don't think anyone is judging the album on 'get lucky'. think they're judging it on the atrocious remaining parts.

Is it nouveaux upstart dubstep which doesn't reference what has gone before and therefore worthy only of scorn?
Is it unoriginal and derivative and therefore turd in the eye of the beholder?
Is it old and past it, the 40 year-old stretchmarked cougar of dubstep scouting nightclubs full of 20-somethings?
Or is it classic dubstep so old its now retro and therefore cool again?
