urgh im doing an essay right now. referencing is a pain.
for electronic sources the format is usually [author(s)], [title of the article in question], [hyperlink].

you don't need an editor or any publishing details for online articles, obviously... just find who wrote it and format it properly. simple.

i dont actually know what the harvard style is, but im guessing that in typical ivy-league fashion it's some half-arsed imitation of our classical english unis. so...

Your going to harvard or some dumb ass teacher has to ask for harvard and not MLA?
Harvard referencing is used in England as well. It's nothing to do with the Harvard college I think, it's just the name of a referencing style.
As far as I recall, the method is (Author's Last Name, year) next to the statement requiring citation, then at the end you write a reference list, in alphabetical order, of (Name, Title of Publication, year, volume, pages).
For hyperlinks it's just (Name, Title, date, hyperlink)

It's the primary referencing style used here also.
