Man, fuck Mexico. That kind of crap does not belong on the pitch.

Where the rules should be precisely the same as they are for everyone else. Instant replays do not belong in football. The problem with this world cup is the quality of the referees. You don't see this shit happening anywhere near as often in the big leagues.

What a joke. This is getting even more pathetic than it already is, almost to the point of laughably embarrassing. This is the sport the world holds so dear to its heart? In it's current form, I'm quite content to be an American.

The results worked out either way.. Argentine insurance. I guess that takes the sting off a lil bit. Though it could be argued going down 1-0 in the first half could have bad mental implications. .. Whatever, there is no doubt in my mind Argentina was the better team today. It is possible to be lucky and good you know.

Nothing wrong with the sport, a lot wrong with refereeing and acting.

See, the thing is, I'd like to enjoy soccer. I just can't as it currently stands (hence the "in its current form" in my other post). It does seem FIFA is responsible, not the core aspects of soccer, but regardless, FIFA has a rather large influence over the World Cup and is mishandling it. It's impossible to take some of the results I've seen thus far seriously, and the frequency of the errors is just pitiful. Like I said, I can't believe anyone invests so much into the World Cup knowing their or their teams' success is half a result of their skill and half just getting lucky enough to have poor officiating favor them.

refs usually get things right more often than wrong.  however, anyone who doesnt want instant replay for goals or offsides in the world cup or UEFA or w/e has severe mental issues imo.
