tbh Mek, hlaf the people transfer their number plates anyway. Plus its to do with when the car was registered not made. So it can have very little relevance to the age of the car

As mentioned, different state has different combination of numbers.  Here in Maryland, the basic plate has a letter in front followed by 6 random numbers.  In Georgia, it is 6 random letters and numbers.  You can also get a personalized plate for a little extra.  Also, depending on the state, you may have to pay some sort of tax.

You gotta be joking, I've never met anyone, ever, or even seen a car with a transferred number plate! And I'd know if a car had a transferred plate if I saw one
