i have some problems staying connected to server's (when the map switches or when i just join) and some 0 ping servers.

i was told here that i should open those ports, but how do i do that ?

i have no problem opening UDP 27900 and that sort of thing, but sometimes it says UDP/TCP and i can only choose one option. do i have to open UDP / TCP seperatly with the number next to it?

and it also says i should open UDP 1500-4999 , i cannot enter the - there, do they mean i got to open UDP 1500, UDP 1501, etc etc one by one?

*feels like a noob*

In the game manual, there is a list of ports you can open if it's nescessary. Only open the ones with client or client/server next to them. Are you opening ports in a router or in a firewall? Depending on the router, you may not be able to open port ranges. In a firewall, you should be able to just allow bf2.exe, the windows firewall won't let you open port ranges, but another one, such as Zone Alarm might, I'm not sure. A good explanation of port forwarding can be found at    http://www.portforward.com/
If you have other internet connection issues, try www.speedguide.net and ask for help after reading the stickies.
I hope this helps.
