I used to be a fan of it all, now I've read too many stories about the bad shit that happens in Dubai/UAE/Arab world and everything about the place just disgusts me. I guess, once again, the worlds tallest man made structure is in the Middle East again (Great Pyramid being the last, I think) and once again, it was practically Slave labour that did it!

Pyramids werent made by slaves. They were made by farmers in their off season. Was civic duty, they got paid and fed well for it.

I heard that city is building too quickly and nobody is buying. Same for the tower, a teacher (Economy teacher) told us they had huge debt and they nearly didn't finish the tower because nobody wanted an office or apartment or whatever in the building.
