I've never really seen a sky scraper IRL. London ones don't count, they're pretty small.
Willis Tower is good 2

Below is a selective comparison of new skyscraper projects in Chicago

thats how the Chicago Spire will look 2000 feet

The Chicago Spire is a supertall skyscraper under construction in Chicago, Illinois. The skyscraper will become North America’s tallest free-standing structure and the world’s tallest all-residential building, eventually standing taller than Chicago’s Sears Tower and New York’s upcoming Freedom Tower, as well as Toronto’s CN Tower.

Looks like a dildo to me.
I've been to the glass walkway at the Willis tower, it's scary looking down
As a civil engineer, of course I'm gonna love this kind of stuff!
I was also impressed and interested in how they were making that palm-tree island (forgot what it was called).
Them Saudis (or Emirates, or whatever) is crazy.

I'm glad someone has jumped from the very top, just a shame for the guys that did the first jump that they couldn't get all the way up there. But I suppose without permission from the building owners it was never going to happen.
Doesn't look like it's from the top..ghettoperson wrote:

You guys do realise that Chicago Tampon has been put on hold for awhile, it's just currently a gaping hole with no activity around it (insert joke here)
I liked the Taipei 101, it actually fused traditional style architecture with modern. It looked like a Chinese skyscraper. Moreso than any other modern skyscraper. I know they talk about the Burj having its Islamic influences and what not, but really it's... not really.
From the looks of things, unless they install some sort of totalitarian minaret at the top, blaring out Islamic propaganda or some sort of suppression device/portal to Xen or some shit.

♫ Thirty thousand feet above the earth
It's a beautiful thing, a beautiful thing ♫
Oh, and anyone been in the Statue of Liberty back when they let people inside? I remember as a kid being in the top of the crown looking down out the window and wind was making the thing sway. I got scareded.
