BF2S Forums Driver Special Ability - I need help

"Driver special ability = 1 point.

Note: You receive these points while driving or piloting and someone that is in the vehicle with you recieves combat or team points"

The best way is to become a good attack helo or bomber pilot. Let you copilot do all the killing. You'll still score well (with a decent gunner), and it'll give you the assist points you covet. Flying Blackhawk is another great way to get these points. Even sitting as a passenger in an APC/Tank is a half decent way to get them.

As far a searching for a server to do this well, avoid special forces and karkand only, and you'll see the other maps which are more abundant in vehicles (because you need them to get everywhere ).

Get in a jeep/voddy as an enginner and tail tanks and APCs. You will repair them if they get hit. Hop into the guns and cover the tanks against C4 tossers. Works well in the sand rails too.

Driver special ability points and driver kill assists are bundled together as "Driver Points" in the scoring system so even though you are correct, there is no need to differentiate. What does make a difference is vehicles with multiple passengers (Transports, APC, Transport Helos), where kill assist are given to the other passengers rather than driver points and other passengers don't get resupply/repair/heal assists like the driver does.

Nice advice, but irrelevant to the question. Great way to get repair points, but he isn't looking for those, he wants Driver Points.

Yep, transport chopper pilot on Mashtuur or Songhua (blackhawk preferably!). Since you get driver points whenever any one of your passengers earn points, make sure you do your best to let them rack up some score.

Drive as any kit except support or medic.
Have a medic on one gun, support on the other.
Engineers and spec. ops. filling out the back seats.

Let the gunners kill infantry (if in the blackhawk).
Hover over enemy armour to let the spec ops and engineers throw mines and C4 (lots of C4...) The support will resupply them all.
Hover over destroyed commander assets and damaged friendly armour, the engineers will repair them.
If you fly out of bounds for a little while (accidently of course...) the whole crew will take damage, which the medic will quickly heal.

Fly blackhawks or have a good gunner in the attack chopper.

the award is driver points not only special ability ..i believe special ability is still just a driver point but its just letting you know not a kill but a heal / resupply / repair
