I sent a message to Chuy a few days ago (and got a reply today busy man or what...) regarding starting a mobile version, a diet BF2s if you like.

I realised that since a lot of people have web-enable mobiles, Zunes, and iTouchs, I thought it would be a good idea to maybe work on a mobile version of the site. It's a big site to fit onto a 3" screen.

Chuy mailed me back today and said he thought it was a good idea, and since he has some spare time he might have a go at it.

I thought I'd start this thread for input and help to get a mobile site underway.

What do you guys think?

I was also considering asking for this. There are times when I browse bf2s on my phone or PSP. Something I've wanted, but didn't want to hassle anyone over

Suggestions would be a 400px width, remove all sigs and avatars, and make images and youtube videos as links instead of embedded. And hopefully get the address to be m.bf2s.com like everyone else does.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. I think it would be neat if it was slighty more optimized, as noted above:

- Slide into a completely vertical format
- Reduce display to just show username/date/message
- Remove sigs
- Make fluid width (so it fits your mobile full wide in any orientation of the screen)

That's the only things I'd really shoot for to change the experience.

They have the largest capacities. I want all my music, not just a selection. That leaves 2 players that are able to handle my collection. Ipod classic 160GB (which barely fits everything) and the Archos 5/7. Both of which I own. Both have their up and downsides but together they're unbeatable *evil laugh*

I actually prefer it this way... it means I don't have to read the whole way across the screen, and is neat and manageable.

As for suggestions... well I'm not that tech-savvy, so whatever the end result is I'm sure it would be sweet.

I wouldn't mind seeing a mobile version, either. My Magic does it all very well, just have to zoom out, but then I have to look at the forum almost always exclusively in vertical mode. It does do some auto adjusting, but only to a point. A purpose-built mobile version would also certainly improve loading times when using only a GPRS/EDGE connection...
