Right, several things really that I need some advice on.
First some back story:
Resprayed the inside of may case after removing everything carefully from it (yet leaving the CPU attached to the mobo), put it back together even more carefully, turned it on and got nothing, it booted and clicked but not much else.
So, after a little tinkering about, seeing if everything was all together nicely I still got nothing so paid £40 for the local PC shop to take a look figuring they'd be able to let me know if I'd fried the mobo or CPU, my 2 main guesses...
So £40 later, they tell me that it's either my mobo or CPU that was fucked, y'know, the two things i'd asked them to check. wankers.
Deciding fuck it, this aint my fault, i'm gonna RMA it, I send it back (to scan.co.uk). Cost me £20 but what the hell i'll get a replacement. Ages fucking later I get a reply. Motherboard's fine, CPU has bent pins.
RMA rejected. wankers *2.
In conclusion
1. What do I do about the scan refusing to replace my components? The bent pins were shit all to do with me. The only time I've ever touched the CPU is to install it (about 5-6 months ago)
2. If I'm really fucked and have to buy a new CPU, will I have to fork out for a new OS? In which case i'll lose a fuck load of coursework re-formatting, something i'd quite like to avoid.
TL;DR version: I'm a dickhead, FML xD

I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.
