Eh, gotta take the chance to show off

My main rig consists of a Luxman L-120A and a pair of JBL 4311Bs. Sourced by a Xonar DX.

The amplifier does 100WPC at 0.0015% THD according to my tests. 106dB SNR. The speakers do 40~15000Hz +/-3dB with usable low extension down to 31.5Hz. <1% THD 40-15k, <0.3% for 100Hz-15k.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Actually, I'm sure the studio monitors are good... it's just that for larger scale stuff, there's better out there... although not as cheap.
Don't get me wrong, the price performance is actually pretty decent... it's just that they don't hold up well in the applications I would use them for.

Just for the record, how much do you think I paid for them?
