So who at NBC thought it would be a good idea for the special today to be, among other things, fried chicken, “in honor of Black History Month”?

Because, spoiler alert – it wasn’t a good idea at all. And now NBCU employee Questlove is bringing it to the attention of his 1 million plus Twitter followers.

Questlove, the band leader and drummer for The Roots (the house band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) tweeted this picture from the NBC Commissary at 30 Rock, with the comment: “Hmm HR?”

Meh, so what if Fried Chicken is seen as part of African-American cuisine, isn't that all part of the soul food they constantly are talking about.

I don't see why there's so much negative stuff attached to it or why there's this perceived negativity about Fried Chicken and black people, so what if that's how it is, I can see the connection, but I can't see where the whole negative shit comes from.

You don't see Italians doing that with Pizza because it's quick, cheap and unhealthy and all that shit.

If you start to think that everything we do is based on racism then you are racist your self, why? because you are acknowledging racism you keep it alive. Same thing as people being gay. Okay, we get it you are gay, but if you keep doing protests and parades then you are keeping that distinction and difference between a hetero and an homo alive and clear. You don't want racism? then stop acting like everything people do is based on racism. I know there are people who say and act based on racism but what the hell, not everybody is like that. Like this case, yes they made fried chicken. Perhaps they did it because its good and perhaps black people like it? Isn't the chef's job to make something that people will like?
Once at my birthday a friend of mine made Kimbab, a korean food. Not because she is racist and that koreans like it, no she did it because she thought i would appreciate the idea of her making something that I like and is part of my culture.
i'm not saying don't react to racism but don't over react on something that possibly isn't based on racism.
