AccuWeather meteorologist Jim Kosek may not be a household name yet, but one of his recent forecasts threatens to change all that. In a clip that has over 300,000 YouTube hits, Kosek fluctuates between flat-lining and freaking out while discussing the impending snowfall in Baltimore.Some cynics have suggested that Kosek's wintry diatribe was pure stagecraft, rather than a true spleen-venting.
We asked Kosek what the reaction has been, so far, to the clip.
"Good and bad," he says. "You have some people who love it, others absolutely hate it. Some people don't think you should screw around at all -- they need to get a life! Others take precious time out of their daily routines and have nothing but kind words to say, and to them, I can't thank enough. That's why I keep doing it each and every day. If I didn't, I'd probably be in my grave right now."
