No. Separate issues.
My son is in the hospital. I'm on hour 11 of my 24-hour shift. Why do you think I've been on bf2s so much today?
i'm sorry to hear it - the closest thing i have to a son is my nephew, who was sent to Primary Childrens yesterday.
as far as being on bf2s, i wouldn't know, i'm barely here myself.
as far as learning Mandarin, you made it sound like it was something you had to do before you went in to a hospital . . .
That's because I've spent my week as follows:
Saturday and Sunday: take care of sick kid
Monday: looks like he's doing better. Wife and I decide it's safe for me to travel. I fly to Vegas for what I think is a week-long trip.
Tues early AM: get a call that I have to come home. Change return flight. Get back on plane. Land back home. Pick up daughter from school. Go to hospital. Swap out with wife who has been in ER with son since 2:30 that morning (18 hrs previous). Spend the night in hospital.
Wed: Swap out with wife at hospital entrance. Pick up mother-in-law at airport (already planned to visit). Tie up loose ends at work from canceled trip. Get sleep.
Thu: Swap out with wife at hospital entrance.
In between living on fast food and other junk.
And here I am.
It's a fucking miracle I'm coherent at all.
