Anyone know a place where u can get a custom theme dont want that Windows 7 button as my start button or the type of taskbars they have

so dont want anything like this (also thats not my background its some random one)

right click on desktop -> personalize

You can kill all your sounds. You can switch up the colors and transparency too to make it a little more bearable. Not anywhere as nice as the theme I had in XP though.

You can change the taskbar buttons to me more like Vista/XP if you like (showing the full title and not just being a compact square) ... but once you get used to this new interface it's really good.

What's wrong with the start button ... ?

And what's wrong with the see threw taskbar ...?

You can do quite a lot of personalization anyhow.

Right clicking on your desktop gives you this

Uncheck "Enable Transparancy" to get your task bar like this

Aside from that there's not a lot you can do with the appearance. Sure, you can change colors, opacity, etc, but nothing like what you could do with XP, AFAIK. If you find anything give me a shout.

To make the taskbar smaller, you can do this

Right click your taskbar, click Properties

Looks pretty damn awesome to me. I can't think of one single thing I'd change on mine ...

Favourite bit about it is the grouping of windows of the same application into those small squares as I normally have rather a lot open.

Actually that's a good point. Would be nice if it blended more with whatever colour you set your taskbar to.

heh, at work i default everyone, and i made a custom background of the company logo. i could care less if they change it, it's like a psychological experiment to see who fucks with their PC and how deep do i have to go to look for trouble when i'm troubleshooting . . .
