Gotta move the data from 3 of my hdd's and format one and install W7 on it... cool. And backup iTunes because iTunes is gay and needs its own god damned backup

I installed it last weekend, and I've been enjoying it since. From initial impressions it seems like a polished copy of Vista, however I'm sure it's far better, I just haven't had the time to dig around looking for new features.

yup, pretty much vista, with a new name for marketing that was built more recently to take into account what they have learned.

Fortunately vista wasn't too bad.
But really, its another copy of windows. You turn on the computer, it boots for a while, then you run some programs.

I have it on 5 PC, between work and home. It rocks. The older PCs run better too.

BTW, you don't need to format or backup your files. Although doing a backup is a good idea. The only files the install removes from your HD is your programe files folder. it Renames windows folder to windowsold which keeps all you profile documents etc safe.

Ahh, interesting. I have like 1.45tb of files but only ended up copying like... 500gb, so a new OS is another reason to reformat.... every few years you just gotta start with a clean slate ya know?

So far I really like it. I'm trying to keep my desktop all simple and stuff, I like the large buttons and simple menus... It also seems to work a lot better than Vista as far as how it handles programs and pop up notifications and the like

When it comes to O/S I like to buy the software.

Updates and actual support and not fucking with shit.

I don't care if a few other pirated programs dont work on my computer, I just want the Operating System to work.

I've had too many tech headaches

I get exactly the same updates as you, and I don't have to talk to some Indian woman who barely understands English for my "Support". I just go on warez-bb and download another copy.
