I had an asshole section sergeant who would truck us up to North Fort Hood, tell us to get out and make us walk back to the barracks. Nevermind that I was in a POG unit and our job depended on us riding around in trucks. He was former infantry and wanted to 'toughen us up'. Even at hood, the most Ive rucked was 12 miles and thats only because of EIB train up.
