I joined a round of Strike at Karkand on the USMC side the other day. I spawned at the main base and saw the M1 had just spawned. I jumped in it and then saw that all of our commander assets were destroyed, so me being an engineer I quicky started repairing all the assests plus I found and killed the two guys who were hiding in our main that had C4ed all the assets. On my way up north towards Hotel I ran into a MEC anti-tank player. He hit my once with his rocket before I killed him. So right outside of the town I jumped out of the tank to repair it. I had just got it repaired when our two stripe commander jumps in my tank and steals it. He drives about 100 meters then runs head on into an enemy Vodnik. He tries to shoot it but misses and then drives straight into a building. Well the this dumb ass commander just jumps out of the tank and leaves it sitting there. The enemy then jumps in my M1 I had had 10 seconds eairler and turns the turrent around a blasts the shit out of me. Unbelivable!!! I just saved that CO's ass repaired his assets so he steals my tank gives it to the enemy and they in turn kill me with it! The ULTIMATE SMACKTARD!

well, at least next time you will make absolutely sure youre alone before exiting a tank. I hate it when people do that too.

I hate it when people do that crap as well.....BUT it is smart on their part I have done it and I am sure many other people here probably everyone has, but next time make sure you are alone when you get out!!

Yea, i hate dumbass players. One of the best things to do is just do like the other guy said, just go away from everyone and repair your tank.

Or another thing you can do is let your machine gunner be engineer, either let him stand behind you while you shoot anything to the side or mainly infront, or you two go around a corner and repair. Or if you can trust your gunner and your the only engineer, let him take the controls while you repair.

The only problem with that is a commander who spends all his time repairing assets rather than concentrate on commanding.

I agree with Souls. The guy was a smaktard. I much prefer a commander who commands. To the extent that on some maps I play engineer with the only purpose of trying to defend the commander's assets and repair them when they get blown up. Easy way to rack some points if your enemy has busy spec ops players.

Ugh that really sucks man. That's why I put my anti-theft device under the tank or w/e I'm driving and it's called the mine. It has it's drawbacks like if your tank is hit by a rocket it will blow you up while repairing it(has never happend to me) however it will teach any noob who tries to steal your vehicle. Just a tip for people who are pissed off with tank stealers.

something similar happened to me today... as engineer I got in the tank, had like 7 consecutive kills and the gunner had the same kill assists. as I got hit by antitank I stopped somewhere safe to repair. I knew the danger, but I told the bastard not to move. I started wrenching. The motherfucker son of a bitch asshole n00b steals my tank (just repaired) and runs over me while he tk's me... U N B E L I E V A B L E
I was like mad calling kick vote against him... he didn't even care to reply.
Here's my message to him : I guess you'll never get the crew ribbon, bastard, you suck, and next time I will jump off the ready-to-explode tank leaving you to a certain death. I bet your mother cried the day you were born....fucker

Well I TOO hate theiving bastard's that steal your equipment while you repair or even worse, an enemy that sneaks up and steals as you finish repairing. So I have gotten in the habbit of droping mines undernieth then repairing. Then if some dumbshit friendly wants to steal it (they SHOULD SEE mine markers) they blow up if/when they try to drive off, on the other hand enemies dont usually see the mines and in return dont get the tank and I get a kill. I just respawn where I got the tank and have a fresh tank to go kick some ass. On anouther note, if I see someone repairing (anything) I go help them out and then either gun for them or return to what I was doing in the first place, if they had it THEY KEEP IT!!!

As far as SF dudes running up and planting C4 on you if you cant get away quick enough, stay with it and keep it OUT OF ENEMY HANDS, since chances are your dead anyway. I dont know how many APC's/Tank's I've stolen from an enemy that thought I was a SF putting C4 on them when I was about to mine them and just hopped in to kill them and take their shit LOL
