The worst to come out of this is everyone starting to use a dozen new sites, all equally shit. hotfile, uploading.to, all that crap. Also I had enough uploaded to that RS account to not have to pay for it anymore - it's ridiculous how much more porn gets downloaded than anything else.

I already use usenet in addition to RS, neither one of them is good enough on its own. And I still have to use torrents sometimes too

It's incredibly easy using the right website. Just reupload anything small that isn't on rs (or is). I haven't had to upload anything in months to keep it going, so I consider it worth the effort.

They shouldn't have had a stupid, openly illegal business model.

I have no time for people who make money from illegally obtained content. I don't mind torrents and suchlike, but I think sites like RS and Usenet are making profit from the copyrighted hard work of other people and I disapprove. There is a difference between non-profit sharing and making profit from hosting copyrighted stuff.

I'll be glad to see RS go bankrupt.
